On Friday, March 14, we devoted our chapel time to the celebration of Purim. We sang joyful songs, read from the book of Esther, and made LOTS of noise with our voices, feet, and noisemakers! Our own Esther, Hadassah, and Raul led the chapel along with our superintendent, Dr. Glenn. Teachers wore masks as a reminder of how God was hidden throughout the story, even though He was present in every twist and turn of the plot. Loud shouts of “Boo!” were heard ever time evil Haman’s name was mentioned, with corresponding cheers for Esther and Mordecai. Just as He did with Esther, God has placed each of us here, at this time, for a great purpose, and He enables us by His grace to accomplish it.
