Chapel: Prayer
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6
God wants to have one-on-one time with you! There are times to pray in public-at church, chapel, with your friends. But God is private and wants to have His time with you. It is time when He looks into your heart, your inner room, and sees what’s secret in your heart. He sees your most precious thoughts. And He won’t tell anybody!
Find a quiet place so you can focus, somewhere safe. Opening up to His love creates an atmosphere of perfection around you as God repels all disease. He’ll reward you.
At 12, Jesus went into the temple and spoke with the priests without His parents. They were amazed at how much He knew and the questions He asked about God. Jesus told His parents: “Why were you searching for me?” He asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” Luke 2:49. He already understood what God had called Him to do.
From a young age, He started relating to His heavenly Father. It’s like learning a musical instrument-He started early and practiced. He practiced being alone with the Father.
We all have a special purpose on this earth. The best way to find that out is to have alone time with God. Jesus set the example for us. Talk to Him! He’s ready to listen you and be a part of your life!
Learn to listen for His voice. “Be still and know that I am God,” Psalm 46:10. There’s a stillness to learn to be quiet enough to let the Lord speak. We’re learning every day about God. Feel the safety and love that God has for you, in the security and peace of prayer!
