Centers of Learning Junior High School presents The Civil War Reenactment

One of the highlights of the 2016/2017 school year was the U.S. Civil War Reenactment presented by the Centers of Learning 7th & 8th Grade U.S. History class. The performance was both engaging and educational with each of the students portraying a key person from that time period. The event began with the reading of powerful quotes by Abraham Lincoln followed by introductions from both the Southern and Northern camps. A dramatic battle reenactment portrayed the seriousness of the war. At the conclusion, the Union was restored with talks of how to proceed as a united country.

Audience members included students from all grades in the school as well as visiting parents and teachers. At the end of the event, the audience was invited to visit with the reenactors on the set to ask questions and learn more about the Civil War.
